The program was introduced in January 2015 by the government of Canada and it opened the doors for immigrants as this was introduced to make immigration simpler. There have been some changes to make it simpler which are:

• The National Occupational Classification will be worth 200 points of a qualifying job offer if contained in major group 00.
• Arranged employment of any other qualifying job offer is 50 points.
• Students who have acquired higher education in Canada, they will be awarded by 15-30 points.

A person who is accepted into an Express entry program they could get an invitation to apply for permanent residence through (ITA) and only who are in the top bracket of the list will get this ITA. The draw held every month and the time limit for invited candidates to submit a complete application for Permanent Residence online is 60 days.

The online application goes through the following steps:

• The candidates have to create an online resume which consists of their skills and qualifications which is denoted as an Express Entry profile. Afterwards, the profile is ranked against other profiles based on some factors which will help the government to pick up the best option so that it will contribute to the Canadian economy.
• Assessment for the every profile is done to figure out that who could meet the required criteria of a federal economic program.
• After the application is selected, the candidate will get an invitation to apply for permanent residence which they can apply within the 60 days to qualify the program.

After applying the invitation application for Permanent Residence, the applicant will get the Permanent Residency visa within 6 months.
